Zeelarry - bio

Well first in my mind is Zeelarry, Larry Ziemski is the love of my life, my best friend, and my husband.... but he is so much more than that... that is just who he is to me.  Larry and I met in an online dating site, on that unforgetable date 9/11/2001....  we were both about a year out of divorce, aka failed marriages, our spouses had divorced us....  and neither one of us got anything from long marriages.... lol we were both broke and wanting new lives....

Larry was born in Baltimore, MD, grew up Catholic in a Polish neighborhood.  He dropped out of high school and joined the US Army in 1969...  he received hus GED before he finished basic training, and was sent to a very remote part of Turkey for a year.  After that year, he was sent to Germany for the remainder of his tour of duty.  He married an English girl, and they lived in Whitstable, Kent, UK while he worked in London and got his Bachelors degree, then his Masters degree.  He has a son still living in the area.  After that marriage dissolved, he returned to Baltimore.

He then married a second time to a girl in Baltimore.  Finding it hard to make a decent living for their 2 sons, he joined the Maryland National Guard. A weekend warrior...  he was asked to come on full time, so he did.  Private Ziemski moved up quickly receiving a special commission to become an officer.  He was fast tracked and became a Major.  One of his final tours was an Executive Officer for the General who was over the entire National Guard at the Pentagon....  stress.....   so after that he was offered a choice of assignments, and he came to Camp Robinson in North Little Rock, Arkansas at the Professional Education Center....   and then retired.

We met a couple of years after his retirement, after divorce, and after a major heart attack and 5 bypasses..... he was 50 years old when we met.  We married a year later, and since have dealt with gall stone induced pancreatitis which caused him to be an insulin dependent diabetic, another heart attack and a stent, two ICD implants, and then in January of this year 3 more heart attacks......

He is retired USArmy Major, retired Civil Service, and a 100% Disabled Veteran.  This blog is a way to honor my husband Valerian (Larry) Ziemski, and to share our story.... last week we celebrated our 15 year anniversary.  Today and every day I celebrate my life with him.... Edit> now that the new movie Valerian is out, his name will become much more familiar.... i did not realize this was a cult comic hero in Europe... interesting, he said his name was an old polish name of one if the popes....
Oh... I forgot to include our girls..... LitaBit and QTπ......
