Larry is home....
seems like an eternity...
but now doing better.
We are both gonna hibernate for 2 days...

Back to clinic for labs on Monday....  

Thursday

Doing better.....  his numbers are better, but he got a bag of blood this afternoon.
If his numbers are a tiny bit better tomorrow, he might get to go home.

Forgot to mention....  this hospital stay, is the chipmunk one.

QTπ had chipmunk guts in here on monday night.....  more fur than guts thankfully...

Wednesday

Early morning numbers
Creatnine 5.24
Hemoglobin 8.3
Hematacrit    25.2

Still on lasix drip
Kidneys are bouncing back, but slowly.... he is making urine
Was very nauseated feeling this morning

Not much pain, just discomfort all over = grouchy.....
 gum pain is minimal, but throat hurts from intubation..... getting him some numbing spray
Not eating or drinking much because of throat hurt.

At 2pm update
Topped the lasix drip at 11, got a pain pill, got throat spray,
Slept for almost 3 hours, woke up and seems better.
Not as fidgety, drank some Nepro shake supplement....

Embroidery patches

I have an embroidery machine, i have the knowledge to do this, but I dont make the time.....

So I ordered 3...  will attach velcro, and can change them out on the vest, bag, or apron he wears......

Ordered them from an Etsy store....  

Tuesday at noon

Ok...  breathing a little bit easier...  Larry is too.....
he is making urine,  but is on a lasix drip....  kidney doc said he thinks his kidneys were just in shock from low bp and blood count....  they will keep him and watch him for at least a few more days....

He did drink the smoothie i brought him for breakfast, and just ate some applesauce...  right now he is sleeping a good sleep, not the in and out...

i did his dressing change and a student nurse observed... she said I did it as good as her instructor...

Anyway, gonna stretch out and take a nap myself.....



Waiting on next labs, seems to feel some better, on a lasix drip.

 gave him a cleanup, and he is carefully eating mashed potatoes...  had applesauce earlier.

he got a good nap...  real one, i got 30 min snooze.
He is Still very drowsy, but not falling asleep in the middle of a sip of coffee.

Tuesday

doggies woke me up at 5am, so I got up and dressed, came over to hospital about 6:15.

Numbers on kidney function had gone up last night, and are still extremely high this morning...  kidney specialist coming in to see him...
Have seen Dr Ransom already

Blood numbers are better, but really not where they need to be
Hemoglobin 8.5
Hematacrit 25.1

Have done lasix this morning.....  

More when I know.

Not today

His kidney functions were not looking good today....  either he is dehydrated
Or other problems.....  not sure, but it is another night here for sure....

Random——  while waiting on events today....

I forgot to post this....  this vest was too small, ordered it from ebay, cheap, so decided to modify it.  Changed it from a vest to a apron/bib....   much more comfortable for Larry...  going to make another similar... saw one on MyLvad website, and the originator is kind enough to share her instructions as well.....  she also gave me permission to post her contact here. her email is hankpattyrichmond@sbcglobal.net

PA Josh said numbers all are good,  so unofficially Larry will get to go home today.

He is ready.....  me too.  Just waiting on final say from Dr Ransom....  then they almost always get the paperwork fast.......

Last night I had partial chipmunk or squirrel remains in the Living room......  yuk...  most likely a chipmunk since the squirrels stay high..   but i didnt get close enough to verify.....


It will be today that he goes home,   But much later,  decided to give 2 units of blood first....

One vampire cocktail completed,

Well....
he is still hopeful, but one more bag of lasix and one more prbc (packed red blood cells) to go,
so not sure how late they will let him go tonight....
But the nurse says they have discharged as late as 9pm.....
They say this unit kinda does its own....

At least another 4 hours minimum......

Sunday

9am, I just got to the hospital....
didnt eat much of his breakfast, said he just wasnt hungry...
Had an ok night, slept fair, but back started hurting him early this morning....

Still on heparin drip, dont know if they have checked his INR yet...
that is all they are waiting on... his INR numbers...
 i doubt he will get out today.... but that is just my observation....

Edit-
INR was up to 1.5..... but BP was down to 62....  88 yesterday...   that is LOW...
heart pump go by single numbers the MAPP.. his normally runs about 💯
